will you be my bridesmaid?

I formally asked my girls to be in my wedding by giving them puzzles to put together. The puzzles were unique to each girl and had pictures of us through the years. When they put the pieces together, they saw "will you be my bridesmaid?" or "will you be my maid of honor?" plus a little trip down memory lane. I put the puzzle pieces in cute little bags with name tags.

Can't wait for you to stand by my side next weekend, girls! Email me if you would like tips on creating puzzles for your girls!

Provence Catering sponsored the catering of the knot's Knottie Get Together last Thursday night at the Chestnut Club. There was a wonderful turnout of brides and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. We needed last minute menu signs so I came up with this fresh, modern idea! the materials: lemons, cardboard, skewers, and mini round bowls. Had to work with what was available!

details | wire

I love working with wire. Above are pictures of wire details (table number holders and lettering for the birdcage) that I sculpted for the wedding before they were spray painted white. I have a million do-it-yourself projects going on right now and I love every minute of it!

Finally finished the birdcage! I added ribbons and wire lettering as final touches. More pictures after the wedding...

marvelous frame

This marvelous frame was given to me by two of my best girls. They used small metal tags hammered with each of our weddings dates on the inside frames. After our weddings, there will be photos of the three of us from each wedding. I love it!! Thank you! I can't wait to hang it!

white vases

Cool white vases that go with everything from West Elm.

napkin rings

Adorable napkin rings from Martha Stewart Wedding Idea of the Day! Thought I would pass along! Here's the how to:

Napkin Rings

1. Stack four sheets of tissue. Cut a 10-by-5-inch rectangle, going through all layers. Make 3/8-inch-wide accordion folds.

2. Fold an 18-inch piece of floral wire in half, slip over center of tissue, and twist to secure. Trim ends of tissue.

3. Separate layers, pulling away from center one at a time.

4. Bend wire into a loop to fit around napkin, and twist end around loop to secure.

Let me know if you make these paper flowers!
